High Protein Coffee Milkshake

  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A creamy, high-protein coffee milkshake made with cold brew, cottage cheese, and protein powder. It serves as a quick, delicious meal replacement or post-workout fuel that takes only 5 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee
  • 1/2 cup (120g) small-curd cottage cheese
  • 1 scoop (~30g) whey protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk (dairy, almond, or oat)
  • 1/2 cup packed ice
  • 1 tsp sweetener (optional: honey, maple syrup, or stevia)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare cold brew coffee ahead of time or ensure strong brewed coffee is completely chilled.
  2. Pour cold brew coffee and milk into the blender pitcher.
  3. Add cottage cheese, protein powder, vanilla extract, and sweetener (if using).
  4. Add ice cubes to the blender.
  5. Blend on low speed to break up ice, then increase to high speed. Blend for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth and frothy.
  6. Taste and adjust consistency or sweetness if needed.
  7. Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately.

Notes

Use small-curd cottage cheese for a smoother texture. Do not use hot coffee as it will melt the ice. For a dairy-free version, swap cottage cheese for silken tofu and use plant-based milk and protein powder. For a keto version, use heavy cream and skip added sweeteners. Freeze cold brew in ice cube trays to prevent dilution.
