Description
A creamy, high-protein coffee milkshake made with cold brew, cottage cheese, and protein powder. It serves as a quick, delicious meal replacement or post-workout fuel that takes only 5 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee
- 1/2 cup (120g) small-curd cottage cheese
- 1 scoop (~30g) whey protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk (dairy, almond, or oat)
- 1/2 cup packed ice
- 1 tsp sweetener (optional: honey, maple syrup, or stevia)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare cold brew coffee ahead of time or ensure strong brewed coffee is completely chilled.
- Pour cold brew coffee and milk into the blender pitcher.
- Add cottage cheese, protein powder, vanilla extract, and sweetener (if using).
- Add ice cubes to the blender.
- Blend on low speed to break up ice, then increase to high speed. Blend for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth and frothy.
- Taste and adjust consistency or sweetness if needed.
- Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately.
Notes
Use small-curd cottage cheese for a smoother texture. Do not use hot coffee as it will melt the ice. For a dairy-free version, swap cottage cheese for silken tofu and use plant-based milk and protein powder. For a keto version, use heavy cream and skip added sweeteners. Freeze cold brew in ice cube trays to prevent dilution.
