Description
A thick, velvety, and nutritious 3-ingredient breakfast smoothie made with frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, and milk. It offers a milkshake-like texture that keeps you full and energized.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ripe banana, peeled and chunked (frozen works best)
- 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries), frozen
- 1/2 cup plain, full-fat Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk of choice (almond, oat, or dairy)
- 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 handful fresh spinach (optional, for nutrients)
Instructions
- Peel the banana and break it into chunks. Keep frozen berries in the bag until ready to use.
- Add the yogurt and milk to the blender first to help the blades spin freely.
- Add the frozen fruit and any optional add-ins (spinach, honey) on top.
- Secure the lid and blend on low speed to break up the fruit, then gradually increase to high.
- Blend for 45-60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- Check consistency; add more milk if too thick or more frozen fruit/ice if too thin.
- Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately.
Notes
Use frozen fruit for a thick, ice-cream-like consistency. If using fresh fruit, add ice cubes. Clean the blender immediately after use by blending warm water and a drop of dish soap for 30 seconds.
