Description
A warm, gooey, pull-apart dessert that combines canned biscuits with a tangy cream cheese layer and cinnamon-sugar coating. Perfect for game day or any crowd-pleasing occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans large biscuits (cut into quarters)
- 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 8 oz full-fat cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or milk
- Powdered sugar and milk (for optional glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and heavy cream until smooth. Pour into the bottom of the prepared dish and spread evenly.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to form a paste. Toss the quartered biscuits in this mixture until fully coated.
- Spoon the coated biscuit pieces over the cream cheese layer, keeping them loose to allow for rising. Drizzle any remaining cinnamon-butter mixture on top.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling. Tent with foil if browning too quickly.
- Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow the cream cheese layer to set.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is full-fat and at room temperature for a smooth layer. Do not press biscuit pieces down too hard. Can be made ahead by assembling the night before and baking cold (add 5-10 minutes to bake time). Best served warm.
